# Adding a Channel

> Add a new sales channel to Merchkit in just a few steps and start generating marketplace-specific content.

# Adding a Channel

Adding a channel to Merchkit takes just a few clicks. When you select a channel, Merchkit automatically loads the channel's template attributes, category views, and default AI prompts — everything is ready to go.

## Step 1: Open the Channels Section

In your Merchkit sidebar, locate the **Channels** section. You'll see icons for any channels you've already added.

## Step 2: Click "+ Add Channel"

At the bottom of the Channels section, click the **+ Add Channel** button.

## Step 3: Select Your Channel

Browse the available channels and click the one you want to add:

* **Wayfair** — Furniture and home décor marketplace
* **Walmart** — Major retail marketplace
* **Amazon** — E-commerce giant
* **Google Merchant** — Google Shopping feeds
* **Shopify** — Your own storefront
* **Mirakl platforms** — (Mathis, Mine, Rue La La, etc.)
* **Nordstrom Rack** — Luxury marketplace
* **ChatGPT / GEO** — AI assistant channels
* **Houzz** — Home design marketplace

Once you select a channel, Merchkit immediately loads the channel's attribute templates and default AI prompts. The channel appears in your sidebar — click it to open its dedicated grid view.

## What Happens Next

Once your channel is added:

* **The channel grid view opens** — You see all channel-specific attributes ready to be filled
* **Default prompts are loaded** — Merchkit pre-configures AI prompts for common attributes
* **You're ready to generate** — Select SKUs and generate channel content
